Personal Information

Thanks for visiting. Most of the material on this site will be written by Doy Moyer, Laurie Moyer, and Forrest D. Moyer. Forrest preached for over 50 years, having left this earth in 1997. I will be adding material authored by him as time allows.

Doy Moyer is native to the state of California (which some think is tantamount to the state of insanity). He is 39 years old, married to Laurie (Teel) Moyer (by far the better looking of the two), and has three children. He has been preaching the gospel for over 18 years, working with congregations in Louisiana, Kentucky, Ohio, California, and now Florida. He presently resides in Florida and works with the church in Cork, outside of Plant City. For five years he was an associate editor of Focus Magazine, and has written numerous articles for various publications.

Doy joined the Biblical Studies faculty at Florida College in August 2001. Courses taught include History and Geography of the Old Testament (fall) and New Testament (spring) (a.k.a. Freshman Bible), Old Testament Poetry, Intro to Christian Evidences, Intro to Philosophy, Religious Thought I (issues in eschatology) and Philosophy of Religion.
