TV Guardian is a little device that you can plug your tv or vcr into. Its job is to filter out bad language. It works with any program or movie with closed captioning capabilities. And here is the great thing: it really does work! It will mute phrases or words that are offensive and replace them with alternative phrases, displaying them on the screen.

It takes a little getting used to at first, but if you are concerned about how much foul language you hear on television, this is a great device. It will filter out 95% or more of the bad language you don't want to hear. Occasionally it misses a word or phrase, but I have found that it works very well overall. It does not work with live programs or shows that don't have the closed captioning abilities. It works with most movies and programs, however.
